I have used [[https://mobileorg.github.io/][MobileOrg]] on iPhones since 2012. For me, MobileOrg has survived transfer from one iPhone to the next, until today. Today, transfer failed owing to MobileOrg no longer being available from the Apple app store. There are suggested workarounds to transfer iPhone apps no longer available from the app store. None appear straightforward unless one is otherwise committed to a Mac/icloud ecosphere.
I'm asking here for a suggested path of least resistance to continue using MobileOrg on a new iPhone. Failing that, are there alternatives to sync Org calendars on an iPhone with other machines (all linux boxes, in my case).
