Hi In the (unlikely, I know) event that
1. you are using the feature branch, 2. because you need fallback fonts, and 3. you are using TeXlive 2026 (as in MacTeX 2026, which is where I have confirmed this) you will experience problems and the fallback fonts will not be inserted. I have already reported in TuX and would appretiate you to report too, again, in case you stumble upon this issue.
