May something like <https://tracker.orgmode.org/news.org> work?
I am ok with an extra communication channel, but I definitely do not
want to bother posting at each possible forum manually. Ideally,
announcements from the mailing lists should automatically end up shared
elsewhere.

Our main announcement and maintenance channel is this mailing
list. Everything else is optional and complementary.

We already have https://planet.emacslife.com/
I am wondering if Org social can automatically pull from RSS feeds.

If automated, why not.

Maybe, but due to low participation, I do not feel like such
encouragement will work well. If there are brides between Org social and
mastodon/rss/email, that might work better as people can simply share
from their existing platforms of choice. Or fully move to Org social,
propagating to other platforms from there.

I see no big harm doing this. We can add a link to worg.
