With my patch, you *must* use BEAMER_CLASS_OPTIONS for beamer and LATEX_* for latex export. I need to experiment a bit on the effect of using LATEX_CLASS=beamer w/ LATEX_CLASS_OPTIONS to see if that produces a viable presentation.
