According to the current source code, you should be able to pick the scheme implementation using the :scheme argument (either per block, per heading, or per buffer). It should take the same value as the variable 'geiser-scheme-implementation'. I don't have any scheme installed: I couldn't test it. Note that if you're using sessions, that value will probably be ignored for already opened sessions. HTH, Bruno
