When I last checked it was 4.5 Seconds vs 2.2 Seconds and I assume it was due to the gc kicking in, but whatever the reason I checked back and forth between using the temp-buffer and writing directly to file and the difference was consistent. > Are you sure that it is creating the buffer and is not related to > the packages you have installed?
