How about the key sequences
DEL - C-c C-c
DEL + C-c C-c
DEL 1. C-c C-c
Not so bad, really. On the other hand, C-c - is clearly a
possibility.
Yes, those are OK if you have the cursor in the right place to start
with. But my idea was that "C-c -" would work with point anywhere in
the line.
