I'm pretty sure we've had this conversion several times about how we're not a 
501c3 and it's misleading for a for-profit company to accept donations that are 
not tax deductible.


If someone wants to support elementary, they should purchase our products 
(including the pay-what-you-want download on our home page).




Also as far as I know, the IRS still hasn't given us a way to declare Bitcoin 
earnings so it's kind of ambiguous about whether it's even legal for us to 
accept Bitcoin or what implication that has on our taxes.
