I totally agree. I don't think we have gotten a definitive answer as to whether the K2 bail will fit on the K3. I was under the impression that it does not. To another poster, no, I haven't gotten my habit from Yaesu radios, but rather the ICOM-718 with which I started my second "career" as a ham. The 1 1/2" (1 x 2 wood!) feels just right.
