Van,

You are correct.  The front phones jack is a 1/4-in plug and the phones on
the back panel is 1/8-in.

Another interesting feature is that you can plug headphones into both jacks
at the same time.  So when contesting, if you want to have an additional set
of ears listening you can.

A question for Elecraft, when y'all have time ;<)) :

It's a little bit of a guess looking at the picture, but the phone jack on
the front panel appears to be a 1/4" type rather than the 1/8" size found on
the K2, while the jack on the rear panel appears to be a 1/8" jack.  Is this
the case?

If so, the 1/4" jack in the front is a good choice, bearing in mind the
problems at least some folks have had with the smaller jack in the K2.  Was
any thought given to the specs of these jacks to try to avoid such problems
??
