I'll add a third vote for Eneloops. They have a low self-discharge rate
and are my gold standard for NIMH batteries.
I run POWEREX in most of the stuff around the house that requires AA
cells. They have a little more energy (2,400maH versus about 2,000maH
for the Eneloops), but they also self-discharge faster than the Eneloops.
Eneloops go in my radios that require AA NIMH cells.
