Good Evening,
A wet, cool week has been followed by a very pleasant, sunny day.
Many flowers are blooming, more birds are moving into the undergrowth,
while the biting flies remain few. The Pileated woodpeckers have been
busy creating rectangular holes in the cedar trees. I found many of the
old openings being used by the jays for storage. The larger openings
are a good fit for Saw whet owls.
The sun has more spots this week; all are stable. Solar flux is
still fairly high. There were a few flares earlier in the week but no
CMEs are due to strike us. However, Mercury is currently getting hit by
one, Hopefully conditions will be better than they have been for the
last few weeks. We shall see.
