Good Evening,
I took a walk today, before the ground is hidden by the now five
foot tall ferns. There were enough no-see-ums to notice. The forest
floor is quite green with new growth, no stick tights or burrs are
mature. More birds too, the hummingbird feeder drained so quickly I
thought there was a leak. Then I found four new males jousting with the
one who has been here for weeks. A Pileated Woodpecker has been
scouting the property for a new home. It drops below freezing each
night, but it is warm enough each day to attract turkey vultures. They
clean up after the mountain lions. False Solomon's Seal and flowering
dogwood are in bloom.
The ominous sunspot from the last two weeks is passing beyond the
limb. Maybe it will flare on the other side. The solar wind has been
strong all week. I expect a steady hiss with less QSB than last week.
Hopefully propagation will not be deterred.
