The K3S sound card should show up as a USB CODEC. In FLDIGI under Configure: Soundcard menu select the Audio tab and then Devices. Check PortAudio and make sure both Capture and Playback show USB Audio Codec. I use VOX to trigger transmit and have found I have turn the VOX Gain up from its SSB setting.
Confession: I'm using a USB Soundcard not the K3S but the setup should be the same.
