The only way I know to use a genuine RS-232 port is to use a desk top
computer with a plug in board.  I would also like to use a lap-top computer
and as far as I know RS-232 ports are not available.  If anyone knows
differently, please let us in on the info.

There may be some companies with the old Lenovos (Think Pad) about 1.5 thick
that are being replaced. I don't know where buy maybe you can find some.
Maybe eBay if the resellers have them.
