The only way I know to use a genuine RS-232 port is to use a desk top computer with a plug in board. I would also like to use a lap-top computer and as far as I know RS-232 ports are not available. If anyone knows differently, please let us in on the info. Willis 'Cookie' Cooke, TDXS DX Chairman K5EWJ & Trustee N5BPS, USS Cavalla, USS Stewart
There may be some companies with the old Lenovos (Think Pad) about 1.5 thick that are being replaced. I don't know where buy maybe you can find some. Maybe eBay if the resellers have them. ----- Chuck, KE9UW -- View this message in context: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/Fake-FTDI-chips-tp7587050p7587277.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [email protected]
