** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 491940 Patch for LTSP clients to properly reboot/shutdown -- "Shutdown" option on LTSP client only logs out user https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/560915 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Edubuntu Bugsquad, which is subscribed to ltsp in ubuntu. Status in “ltsp” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: After installing Ubuntu 10.04 Beta 2 as an LTSP server, both before and after installing all updates as of April 11th both inside and outside the LTSP chroot, when a user is logged in on a LTSP client computer, the shutdown menu in the upper right hand corner of the screen gives the option to "Shutdown" and "Restart". If one of these are clicked, the user is asked if they are sure they want to shutdown/restart the computer. If the user confirms the action, the user is only logged out. Ideally, these options would actually shutdown or restart the LTSP client (the LDM login screen has a preferences button that properly handles this). If that isn't possible, having those options in the menu would be misleading to a user and probably should be removed. On the LTSP client: ltsp-client: 5.2.1-0ubuntu7 ltsp-client-core: 5.2.1-0ubuntu7 ldm: 2:2.1.1-0ubuntu2 On the LTSP server: indicator-applet-session: 0.3.6-0ubuntu2 indicator-session: 0.2.8-0ubuntu2 -- edubuntu-devel mailing list edubuntu-devel@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/edubuntu-devel
