Hi all, I installed Edubuntu for the first time and - compared to Fedora and Mandriva and even Ubuntu itself - there are a few peculiar things.
First of all, Edubuntu for some reason or the other does not see the DHCP server that is active by means of the linksys cable adsl-router. That strikes me as odd, especially since Ubuntu itself does see that server and does act accordingly. If - after the first install - I use the CD again to repeat parts of the installation process, it DOES see the dhcp server. The moment I repeat the complete installation again, it again fails to see the dhcp server. Furthermore I feel that it is not very user friendly that Edubuntu fails to see the already installed other operating systems. It simply overwrites an existing GRUB install with its own settings. Just my 2 cents to the installation process. Regards Frnk Claessen -- edubuntu-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/edubuntu-devel
