Leah, I would agree - I generally specify binary transfers so there is no character modifications from AS400 or UNIX to Windows using ftp. That seems to take care of those problems and if they try to use an LF as a segment delimiter from a mainframe or AS400, I will refuse it and require that it be changed. There is no way to handle that gracefully. Blocked files generally only have an LF as the blocking character in my experience.
