Ive got experience across both flavors of Inovis Trusted Link both TLE and TLi there are definitely some personality quirks you need to be aware of in TLi. Experience with any of the TL family will give you a good start, but be prepared for a lot of frustration with the lack of documentation. I can certainly be asked if you have questions and will have a big mug of sympathy waiting. ^^

But most ERP systems have their own EDI files now so its just a matter of pointing TLi at those files. If your good with logical files that may not even be necessary, but not recommended.
