Actually, just tried a DUNS lookup on D&B website, and, lo and behold, that search tool is gone. I called the toll free number and was told I'd have to purchase a report. I guess they're hurting. We'll have to all switch to phone numbers!

I think even 'newbies' can figger out the '01' or '12' qualifiers to go with those numbers and give that a try. The seventy-nine bucks is to give the buyer a sense of 'value' because there is no other way he will get same in this case. At least not if he talks to any members here, that is.
