I’m a biologist and wildlife filmmaker in search of other wildlife or
natural history filmmakers to include in a production team to film a short
web series about human – predator interaction of Mountain lions in South
Dakota during two weeks in the summer of 2017.  The film project is based
on a grant currently under consideration by The National Geographic
Society. I am seeking two additional people to include in this project: a
cameraperson and a camera assistant.  This is an unpaid position, but team
members get the expenses paid and will get their name associated with a
National Geographic grant project. Looking for candidates by October 1st.

*Dates:* Two weeks in either June or August 2017. TBD.

*Location:* Lodging will be in the Black Hills of South Dakota and Rapid
City, SD

*Pay:* Unpaid position, but all expenses for the trip including travel,
lodging will be covered



*Cameraperson* – Will be filming less than or equal to 50% of the film
footage for the project. Work closely with myself to set up how to film a
scene. Some of the duties of cameraperson are to film when I am on-camera.

*Job Requirements*:

(Preferred) Bachelors Degree in relevant field

(Required) 1-3 years hands on experience with filmmaking, with greater
considerations for natural history filmmaking.

Perform the techniques of good interview style filming

Familiarity with operating a variety of types of video equipment including
DSLR and RED camera systems.

Ability to carry camera equipment through potential rough terrain of the
Black Hills.





*Camera Assistant* – Assist the other cameraperson and myself in storing
equipment, setting up for shoots, maintaining organization of equipment,
and transporting gear.

*Job Requirements*:

(Required) Valid US Driver’s License

(Required) At least 1 year hands on experience with a variety of video and
photography equipment set up and accessories.

Ability to carry heavy equipment over potential rough terrain.

May be the special photographer for the trip if proficient in photography.
