Nariku Travel Experiences in partnership with Medungi Conservation is pleased to offer university students (sophomore year and above) and graduates with a passion for conservation the opportunity to learn from conservation experts including Kenyan conservation biologists, Maasai leaders in protecting the environment, and university peers with Kenya conservation volunteering experience and deepen your understanding of conservation issues faced and actions underway locally. There is also the option to stay longer and intern with a local organization and/or work on an independent study project of choice.
The $3900 program fee includes: *All ground transportation in Kenya for program locations outlined in the itinerary *All meals and lodging as presented in the itinerary *Activities and project costs as indicated in the itinerary, including conservation experiences, Maasai cultural activities, wildlife driving safari, nature walks *Project supervision and opportunity for academic credit *Pre-trip informational session Does not include: *International or domestic airfare, tips, immunizations, visas, alcohol & personal purchases *Mandatory travelers medical insurance *Personal use equipment, such as mud boots, gloves, compass, binoculars etc.) Qualifications: Must be a university student (Sophomore year and above) or graduate, OR accompanying such a student. Occasional hands-on activities may include bush walks, tree planting, and riparian cleanup. Participants must be physically fit enough to work for several hours in a hot, dry climate.
