Tech on a short timeline dictated by state finances. We are open to any

The Biology Department at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology
(New Mexico Tech) seeks candidates for a tenure-track assistant professor
position. Successful candidate are expected to establish a vigorous
research program and to contribute to the Department’s teaching mission.
Candidate should be prepared to teach one or more courses in
ecological/environmental biology in addition to introductory biology.
Preference will be given to applicants that can demonstrate an interest in
multidisciplinary collaborative research and teaching. The Biology
Department at NM Tech offers B.S. and M.S. degrees (Biology, Biomedical
Science) and M.S. degrees (Biology, Biochemistry) and is developing an
interdisciplinary Ph.D. program in Biotechnology. Appointments will start
either January 2017 or, preferably, August 2016.

Applicants should submit a letter of interest, resume, a statement of
teaching and research interests, a representative publication (or URL) and
