Title: Sr. Staff Scientist
Location: Concord, CA
Cardno is an ASX-200 professional infrastructure and environmental
services company, with expertise in the development and improvement of
physical and social infrastructure for communities around the
world.
Cardno is seeking a Senior Staff Scientist in our Concord, CA
office.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
> Field data collection, data entry, and analysis
> Basic GIS work for data analysis and map/figure preparation
> Regulatory permitting support
> Work closely with Senior Staff and Project Managers
> Report Writing
> Administrative support duties as needed
Basic Qualifications:
> B.S. degree or higher in biology, environmental science, natural
science, or related field
> At least three (3) years related experience
> Experience with waterway permitting, ecological surveys, ecological
studies, data analysis, and data interpretation
> Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements for NEPA/CEQA, ESA,
Clean Water Act, etc.
> Proficient in MS Office
> Proficient in GIS (basic cartography skills)
> Excellent oral and written communication skills
> Ability to work well with wide range of clients in a fast-paced work
environment
> Ability to work well independently and with a diverse,
multi-disciplinary group in a fast-paced, team-oriented work
environment
> Willing and able to travel to field sites and other Cardno ENTRIX
office locations throughout North America (up to 50% travel)
Desired Qualifications:
> Prior experience in the consulting industry
> Positive and energetic attitude
> Self-motivated; strong initiative
> Solid time management and follow-through skills, with the ability to
simultaneously work on and manage multiple tasks/projects with tight
deadlines
> Bilingual capabilities (Spanish) is a plus
