I'm writing to all of you hopping that someone can help me. I'm trying to get funding for training. As a young researcher in Europe I thought naively that getting funding essential to proceed with my career was something really straightforward. I couldn't have been more wrong! It's possible, even easy to find funding to projects and so on, but since I'm not yet associated to any institutions (bureaucratic delay) I can't find anyway of fund. I intend to apply in some courses of Distributed European School of Taxonomy (DEST) happening right coming June but without funding it will be impossible to support all the costs. Plus, living in country in crisis (Portugal) means there is NO other way to get fund other than than having a multi-year, multi-disciplinary fancy project, in which you're associated somehow, expressing budged for your training (ridiculous). Shortly, does someone know a funding pathway for training of young Europeans researchers? Some foundation, organizations, something..? Best regards, Raquel Pereira
