Posting: Panama Rainforest Naturalist Guide Legends of the Wild, a new tour company specializing in remote wildlife expeditions, is looking for a few exceptional naturalist guides to lead multi-day trips in the Panamanian rainforest, with a specific focus on herpetology. As we will be starting with a small portfolio of trips, these positions will initially be part-time in nature. Basic Qualifications: University degree in Biological or Environmental Sciences with significant course work and/or field experience in Herpetology. Thorough working knowledge of one of the following Panamanian provinces - Bocas de Toro, Darien, Chiriqui, Veraguas. Strong interpersonal, communication and people skills. Passion for wildlife exploration and education. Fluency in English and Spanish. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced reptile-handling skills. Strong interest in locating and identifying wildlife species for photo opportunities and educational discussions. Standard First Aid certification and CPR. The ability to remain calm and collected under unpredictable and stressful circumstances. Physical Requirements: Applicants should be in sound physical condition, capable of rigorous outdoor activity. Must be capable of hiking in rugged terrain for full workdays.
