Post Doctoral Research Associate Gulf of Maine Research Institute/University of Maine
The Gulf of Maine Research Institute (GMRI) and the University of Maine are seeking applicants for a two year post-doc position to develop spatially-explicit models of Atlantic salmon post-smolt migration in estuarine and marine environments. The successful candidate will develop models to test hypotheses about how changes in the timing of salmon migration relative to prey, predators, competitors, and hydrography affect salmon growth and survival in the Gulf of Maine. Position will be located at GMRI in Portland, Maine. Qualifications: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in ecology, biology, marine sciences, or other related field, modeling experience, and strong quantitative skills.
