We are looking for a research assistant (with a Master's degree) or postdoc
to help the Illinois EPA create a Green Infrastructure Plan for storm water
management. This project is in collaboration with University of Illinois at
Chicago (Department of Biological Sciences, Department of Urban Planning and
Policy, and Great Cities Institute), the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for
Planning, the Center for Neighborhood Technology, and the Illinois-Indiana
Sea Grant College Program. The position will be held at UIC.

The main responsibilities for this position will be (1) to conduct a
literature review about the effectiveness of different kinds of green
infrastructure for storm water management, and (2) to create and use a
hydrological model for exploring the effects of land use and green
infrastructure on flooding and water quality.  We are looking for someone
with knowledge about hydrological processes and modeling and/or GIS skills. 

The job will begin as soon as possible and will remain open until filled.
Funding is for 1 year with possibility of extension.
