FIELD TECHNICIAN POSITION AT THE JORNADA EXPERIMENTAL RANGE IN THE NORTHERN CHIHUAHUAN DESERT (New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA): $9 ­ 12/hr commensurate with education and experience. Temporary, no benefits, no housing provided, 4-6 months with extension possible, flexible start date. Successful candidate must be a US citizen with a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. Position will include extensive travel throughout the region and possibly out of state, long hours in the field and camping up to 2 weeks at a time. Collect/record data in the field for vegetation and soil sampling on monitoring and research projects. Position will also include laboratory work (primarily for soil physical properties and some simple soil chemistry), data entry and data manipulation.
