Job description: We are seeking an experienced wildlife biologist to
assist with research on a variety of wildlife species in forested
ecosystems of north Florida.  The biological scientist will have a
diverse set of responsibilities, with an emphasis on data collection in
the field.  Other duties will include processing data in the lab,
organizing data for statistical analysis, assisting in the development
of research publications and presentations, conducting literature
searches, and preparing materials for educational workshops.  This
position is an ideal opportunity for someone who recently completed a
graduate degree to gain experience working outdoors with a variety of
taxa, while also participating in indoor research-related tasks.=20

Qualifications: Minimum requirements include a B.S. in wildlife biology
or related field plus 1 year of experience collecting data in the field.
Preferred criteria include an M.S. or Ph.D. in wildlife biology or
related field, 3 or more years of experience collecting data in the
field, familiarity with GPS/GIS, and plant identification skills.  Must
be able to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, willing to work
irregular hours as the activity of wildlife demand, capable of working
independently, and able to obtain a state of Florida drivers license.

Salary: $31,000-$33,000 (depending on education and experience) +
medical benefits
