The ESA Council approved the petition by a group of members, led by Ken Klemow, Carmen Cid and George Middendorf, to create a new section for senior, retired and emeritus ecologists-Senior and Advancing Generations of Ecologists (SAGE)-to continue to engage with the Society and contribute to our work. SAGE is currently recruiting members for its first year and will meet soon to discuss priorities, but in the meantime is already connecting with other sections in ESA to enhance their programming.
