Ya está abierta una nueva edición del curso "Introducción a los Modelos
de Nichos Ecológicos", organizado por Transmitting Science.
Fechas y Horario: Sesiones en línea en directo el del 26 al 30 de mayo,
2025 de 15:00 a 19:00 (zona horaria de Madrid). El resto del tiempo se
impartirá a través de ejercicios a realizar entre las clases en directo
(15 horas).

Este curso se centra en la teoría básica del modelado del nicho
ecológico de especies y sus metodologías principales. Al final de este
curso práctico de 5 días, tendrás la capacidad de realizar modelos de
nicho ecológico y comprender sus resultados. Serás capaz de elegir y
aplicar la metodología adecuada dependiendo del objetivo de tu estudio y
el tipo de datos.
Este curso será prominentemente práctico, con algunas clases teóricas.
Todos los procesos de modelación y cálculos se realizarán en R.
Aprenderás a utilizar algoritmos de modelación como Maxent, Bioclim,
Domain, regresión logística, y paquetes de R para calcular ENMs como
Dismo y sdm. También aprenderás a comparar diferentes modelos de nichos
ecológicos con el paquete Ecospat.
El curso está orientado a estudiantes de doctorado y máster, así como
otros investigadores trabajando en biogeografía, ecología espacial, o
disciplinas relacionadas.
