Dear all,
We are pleased to announce the online course GLLVMs: Advanced Multivariate
Analysis of Ecological Communities in R, scheduled for 20-23 May. This course
introduces Generalized Linear Latent Variable Models (GLLVMs) as a flexible,
model-based alternative to traditional ordination and species distribution
modeling methods.

Participants will learn how to:

Fit and interpret GLLVMs using the gllvm R package.

Choose appropriate model formulations for different ecological questions.

Diagnose model fit using residual analysis and other criteria.

Visualize and communicate results effectively.

Understand the advantages of GLLVMs over classical ordination methods.
The course is designed for PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and
professionals with basic knowledge of generalized linear models (GLMs) and R
programming. Familiarity with generalized linear mixed models (GLMMs) or
ordination methods is beneficial but not required.
