Two MS-level graduate positions are available in my lab, starting either in the
summer or fall of 2025 in the Biology Department at Colorado State
University-Pueblo. For both positions, teaching assistantships ($10,000 per
year) are available but should be applied to by March 15, 2025. In addition,
$5,000 summer stipends for two years each are guaranteed, along with
possibilities to apply to university graduate funds for roughly $1,000-$2,000,
depending on annual availability. The two positions will focus on 1) collecting
and analyzing ornate box turtle (Terrapene ornata) habitat, ecology, and
current/historical occurrence in the southern part of Colorado and 2) analyzing
and describing characteristics and immunological mechanisms of phagocytic cells
in a captive population of Mojave desert tortoises (Gopherus agassizii).

For full consideration, please apply with a letter of intent, CV, and
undergraduate transcript (unofficial is OK) by March 12. This will give us time
for an interview to apply officially to the program by March 15.

Please email me for more information (franziska.sandme...@csupueblo.edu
<mailto:franziska.sandme...@csupueblo.edu>) and refer to my website
(https://sites.google.com/view/fran-sandmeier-lab/home
<https://sites.google.com/view/fran-sandmeier-lab/home>) and that of the MS
Program in Biology (https://www.csupueblo.edu/biology-ms/index.html
<https://www.csupueblo.edu/biology-ms/index.html>) for additional information.

If you miss the deadlines but remain interested in the program, please still
email me. We have rolling acceptance, but we usually have to assign teaching
assignments relatively far in advance of the next semester.
