This postdoctoral position is part of the Community & Ecosystem Resilience to Fire Project at Wilfrid Laurier University. It investigates the effects of severe short-interval reburning on boreal forest ecosystems in the Northwest Territories, focusing on post-fire vegetation, carbon dynamics, and forest structure. By integrating data from recent and long-interval burn sites, the research aims to identify thresholds of ecosystem resilience and inform adaptive fire management strategies. Collaboration with community and government partners is central to this role, alongside leading fieldwork in remote locations.
