Nominations are now being accepted for the 2025 ecological forecasting award.
This award is sponsored by the ESA Statistical Ecology Section and given annually in recognition of an outstanding scholarly publication (peer reviewed journal article, book chapter, or book) published within the last three years in the emerging field of Ecological Forecasting. The scope of the award is broad, spanning any ecological system, process, and spatiotemporal scale. It encompasses research, both basic and applied, that generates predictions or projections, or which advances forecasting methods, tools, theories, or concepts. Eligible publications must be peer-reviewed with a publication date on or after January 1 three years prior to the current deadline (i.e. papers for the March 1, 2025 deadline need to have been published after Jan 1, 2022). Award recipients will receive a plaque and $200 prize.
