ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF BIOLOGY

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
The University of the Ozarks invites applications for a current position as a 
tenure track Assistant Professor of Biology beginning July 1, 2025. Candidates 
should have earned a Ph.D. degree in Biology or expect completion by the time 
of appointment. The area of specialization is open, but the successful 
candidate will be able to teach courses across a range of areas within biology, 
including microbiology, cellular and molecular biology, and/or genetics. The 
teaching load is 4:4, or 24 academic credit hours per academic year. Additional 
expectations for the role include advising students, participating in the 
university's shared governance, and ongoing professional development.
