This is a 24 month position that will support two projects to develop remote sensing analyses of Australian forest responses to fire and meteorological extremes. Project 1: "SA EcoMap" is funded by SmartSat CRC to examine the rate of forest biomass recovery following bushfires that affected Kangaroo Island in 2020. Project 2: Funded by the Australian Research Council, this project will examine the seasonal leaf area dynamics of Australian tropical rainforest canopies.
