The University of Montana, in partnership with the North Central Climate 
Adaptation Science Center (NC CASC) is searching for a talented scientist with 
an interest in climate connectivity and species range shifts within the North 
Central and Rocky Mountain protected area network. The successful candidate 
will work with Dr. Solomon Dobrowski (University of Montana) and Dr. Sean Parks 
(US Forest Service Rocky Mountain Research Station) and collaborate with an 
interdisciplinary research team of co-production partners.

The postdoctoral fellow will join a national cohort as part of the Climate 
Adaptation Postdoctoral (CAP) Fellowship

 hosted by the U.S. Geological Survey Climate Adaptation Science Centers. The 
fellow will conduct research related to climate connectivity in the North 
Central Region and will also join eight postdocs from around the country to 
conduct a national synthesis project related to species range shifts.

The successful candidate for this position will have strong quantitative 
modeling skills and a demonstrated background in conservation biogeography or 
related. This full-time, two-year position will be based at the University of 
Montana Franke College of Forestry and Conservation and will work closely with 
partners at the NC CASC, USGS, and USFS. Applications received by January 30,
