Description:

We are seeking a Ph.D. student for our recently NASA funded HI-GRASS (Holistic
Investigation of Grassland Systems across Scales) project. The Ph.D. student
will work with two other teams at Oklahoma State University and University of
Nebraska-Lincoln to integrate in situ observations of plant diversity and soil
microbiome with animal telemetry and remote sensing to uncover the factors
influencing grassland aboveground and belowground biodiversity. Ideal target
start date is May 2025.

Oklahoma State University is a Carnegie Tier-1 university with excellent
research facilities. Oklahoma State University is located in Stillwater, OK,
rated as the friendliest college town in the U.S. Because of its mid-continent

Python, R, MATLAB) is ideal.

• Strong research or work experience in plant community ecology,
especially grassland

• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative setting

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
