Conservación Amazónica - ACCA is thrilled to offer an exciting
internship opportunity within our Spectacled Bear Conservation Program
at the Wayqecha Biological Station in Peru. This position provides
hands-on experience in wildlife monitoring and conservation science.
*Internship Details:*
* *Position:*Wildlife Monitoring Intern
* *Duration:*3 to 6 months (minimum 12 weeks)
* *Start Date:*Mid-January 2025
* *Location:*Wayqecha Biological Station, Peru
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Assist in monitoring Andean bears using camera traps and radiotelemetry.
* Participate in data collection and analysis.
* Engage in plant identification and propagation efforts.
* Contribute to environmental education activities.
*Requirements:*
* BSc degree in a relevant field or currently pursuing one.
* Intermediate proficiency in English and Spanish.
* Physically fit and able to work in challenging environments.
* A driving license is considered an advantage and will be viewed
favorably in the selection process.
Please note that this is an unpaid position, with interns responsible
for covering their transport, food, and accommodation costs.
