Title:
unity launcher will not display when all text selected (but not
  copied) in full screened application

Status in Unity:
  Incomplete
Status in unity package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
This sounds crazy, but it's consistent on my system (T410 with Nvidia
GT218 [NVS 3100M] and proprietary nvidia graphics drivers).

  To recreate:

  1) Full-screen an application (I've tried firefox, gvim and gedit).
  2) Select *all* text using your mouse either in a text-box (firefox) or in
the buffer (gvim, gedit), but do *NOT* edit-copy/Ctrl+c.
  3) attempt to move your mouse far left to have the unity launcher appear.

  Expected results: launcher pops out.

  Actual results: no launcher.

  Additiona info:

  - If you select some of the text in (2), everything works as expected.
  - If you Edit->Copy or Ctrl+C to copy all the text, everything works as
expected.
