Title: SD card has no 'Eject', 'Unmount' or 'Safety Remove' option in launcher, whereas Nautilus has 'Unmount' Status in Unity: Fix Released Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: Hi Description: Ubuntu 11.04 Release: 11.04 ***LIVE CD*** unity: Installed: 3.8.10-0ubuntu2 Candidate: 3.8.16-0ubuntu1~natty1 Version table: 3.8.16-0ubuntu1~natty1 0 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty-updates/main i386 Packages *** 3.8.10-0ubuntu2 0 500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ natty/main i386 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status Unity has no 'Eject', 'Unmount' or 'Safety Remove' option for SD cards in the launcher, whereas Nautilus has the option to 'Unmount'. This leaves the user confused to how to disconnect the SD card from the computer. What Happened: 1) Insert an SD card into the machine 2) Unity correctly displays the SD icon 3) Open up nautilus as see that the SD card has also correctly appeared 4) Now right click on the SD card icon in the launcher an see that the only option is 'Open'. Whereas if you right click on the SD card in the Nautilus from 'Places' there is an Unmount option. What Should have happened: - Unity should have an option to unmount SD cards via the launcher, in a similar way to USB storage devices. This then means that the user can easily detach the SD card in a familiar way. Notes: - Upon unmounting the SD card from nautilus the SD card will disappear from the launcher and desktop, similar to when a USB storage device is ejected/safety removed. - I have attached a screenshot showing the unity launcher with only the 'Open' option. Hope this issue can be resolved soon.
