Scott Phillips updated DS-1147:
-------------------------------

    Attachment: djatoka1.patch

This is a patch to provide the djatoka media filter. It is against A&M's
version of DSpace 1.7.x so it won't cleanly apply to a vanella version of
DSpace. However, it's very simple so one could take the media-filter class. It
did require a minor change to the mediafiltermanager class to keep track of
which bitstream is being processed.

> Out of the box dspace does not support generating jpeg 2000 thumbnails. The
> attached media filter addresses this problem by using a djatoka media server
> to generate thumbnails. Djatoka is an open source project to provide a
> zoomable image viewer. Djatoka supports all the popular image formats jpeg,
> png, gif, tiff, bmp, plus jpeg 2000. To be able to use this filter you'll
> need to have a djatoka media server running locally on your network.
