Kim Shepherd commented on DSCR-15:
----------------------------------
Hope I haven't put this in the wrong place... it's probably more of a general
XMLUI/theme problem than a Discovery problem, per se...
Idea: as well as using page metadata to build base URLs, should we add a
'scopedURL' with a path (minus contextPath/baseUrl) that can be appended to
handles for scoped search?
That way the theme can check it instead of having /search hardcoded in the
"This Collection" search, which is what Mirage is doing currently.
<metadata element="search" qualifier="simpleURL">/xmlui/discover</metadata>
<metadata element="search" qualifier="advancedURL">/xmlui/discover</metadata>
> XMLUI aspect: Scoped search in simple search form on navigation bar queries
> "search" instead of "discover"

> Key: DSCR-15
> URL: https://jira.duraspace.org/browse/DSCR-15
> Project: DSpace Discovery Module
> Issue Type: Bug
> Reporter: Kim Shepherd
> Priority: Major
>
> Scoped search in simple search form on navigation bar queries "search"
> instead of "discover" (ie. ArtifactBrowser/Search instead of Discovery)
> To reproduce:
> ---
> 1. Using search or facets, browse to a collection, community or item
> 2. Select "In this collection" and clicking "Go" in the simple search form in
> the XMLUI nagivation bar while viewing a community, collection or item using
> DSpace Discovery.
> Correct behaviour:
> ---
> This *should*, as far as I can tell, POST to /handle/*/*/discover with scope
> set as the 'location' filterquery, but it instead POSTs to
> /handle/*/*/search, which results in a 404.
