Stuart Lewis reassigned DS-444:
-------------------------------
Assignee: Jeffrey Trimble
Thanks for finding this bug, and then confirming it fixes it.
Jeff: Could you update section 3.2.2 of the docs:
---
3.2.2. Java JDK 5 or later (standard SDK is fine, you don't need J2EE)
DSpace now required Java 5 or greater because of usage of new language
capabilities introduced in 5 that make coding easier and cleaner.
Java 5 or later can be downloaded from the following location:
http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp
---
I think it would be good to specifically say to use Sun's JDK.
If you'd prefer me to up-date it, give me a shout (am unsure how much the docs
are in flux right now, and my tinkering might make things worse!)
Thanks,
Stuart
