Hello Sherry, The wiki can be overwhelming and has so much information. I've been working with it for 2 years now and am still learning to navigate them effectively. The Learning DSpace <https://wiki.lyrasis.org/display/DSDOC8x/Learning+DSpace> section of these wikis seems to be the most geared towards newbies - how did it work for you?
In addition to what the previous responders said about the Show drop-down menu and "Workflow tasks" you might want to view an item before it has been submitted. You can see those non-admin user items before they have been submitted with the Admin menu sidebar -> *Access Control* -> *People* option. Once you navigate there you can: - Search for the eperson account - select the "Edit" button for that eperson - select the "Impersonate EPerson" button - Go up to the top right Profile icon and select the "MyDspace" option - You can view the submissions that they are working on but have not yet deposited. - When you are done, click on the "Stop impersonating EPerson" button in the top right menu.
