Thank you Hilton, I realize I should have phrased my question differently in: what is the advantage of a repository built and hosted by your own organization in comparison with a system like Zenodo. Helix84 has already given me some pointers and I will certainly check out the wiki link you sent me. I am glad with the quick response and the food for thought you have given me.
