You have already MS / Google data centres in the EU. And Apple is using 
European registered/located ip ranges for this safe browsing, what actually 
means give to Apple everything you visit.

Is that not contradictory to your "competition dries up"? If you look at the 
last 15 years I do not have the impression alternatives kept their market 
shares.
