I think Przemysław is right, deliver a new message to /var/mail/sherril
and try again. Has Outlook configured to "keep messages on server"? That
would make sense to not delete the messages.

Yet, no mail is pulled over. Are there any clues here?
maybe because the MUA thinks they are old? You need a new one.
